DISNEY+: “PERCY JACKSON” – SEASON 3 IS ON THE WAY

If you like season two of Percy Jackson, this is great news. Season three has already been greenlit, and is gearing up.

Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has reportedly cast the Titan Atlas, alongside two other major characters set to debut in the upcoming episodes. Mindhunter star Holt McCallany has joined the series in a recurring guest role as Atlas, aka the Bearer of Heaven,

In Greek mythology, Atlas was condemned by Zeus to hold up the celestial heavens after the Titans’ defeat. In the series, Atlas gets freed and then aims to lead Kronos’ forces in a renewed war against the Olympians. Additionally, Atlas will be the primary antagonist for next season and is expected to remain a looming threat.

Also,  Breaking Bad’s David Costabile, will recur as Dr. Thorn, a strict military academy headmaster obsessed with discipline and obedience. In the books, Percy encounters the character early while attempting to recruit powerful demigods for Camp Half-Blood.

And Jesse L. Martin, from CW’s The Flash, has joined the Percy Jackson Season 3 cast as Annabeth’s father, Frederick Chase. Described as a brilliant military historian, Frederick is a mortal Athena deemed worthy to raise her daughter. While his relationship with Annabeth has been complicated, the series will explore their efforts to reconnect.
