The 3rd movie from DC Studios will be CLAYFACE. and it comes after Superman, which is out now, and Supergirl, which comes out next summer. Tom Rhys Harries Will play the titular character in what’s said to be an R-rated body-horror story,
According to Nexus Point News‘ sources…Clayface will center around an amalgamation of the Matt Hagen and Basil Karlo versions of the comic book character, being named after the former but with elements of the latter’s backstory. This is similar to how Clayface was used in Batman: The Animated Series, which Mike Flanagan has already revealed was a huge influence on his script.
The movie reportedly sees Hagen — a handsome, up-and-coming actor from Gotham who moved to Hollywood to escape his troubled past and begin a career — get attacked and disfigured, leading not only to his career and outlet as an actor being ruined, but to his eventual transformation into Clayface.
And Clayface’s s main antagonist will be a new crime boss created specifically for the movie. In fact, at the time of writing, CLAYFACE is not expected to feature any recognizable DC characters outside of the title villain.
