The rumor mill surrounding Warner Bros./DC’s “The Dark Knight Rises” continues to churn out more “news.” Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception) has been signed to the cast of the film. Word has it he will play Dick Grayson (Robin “The Boy Wonder.”)
Examiner.com says a Michigan centric news website, WILX, has possibly outed the inclusion of the character, Robin in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
Production crews are said to have been scouting Grand Ledge, Michigan as a place to shoot some of the film. According to WILX, sources have told them that more specifically, “the area is being considered as a hideout for Batman sidekick Robin.”
Screen Rant mentions until something more concrete comes out, Robin being in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ should be classified as a rumor.
Gordon-Levitt could be considered for an altogether different role in the film. Fans are speculating other characters could be involved such as: The Riddler, Deadshot, or a member of The League of Shadows.
Finally, actress Juno Temple has been cast in a supporting role as a streetwise Gotham City girl.
“The Dark Knight Rises” will be released on July 20th, 2012. The film will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Juno Temple, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Christopher Nolan will direct the film.
