Street Fighter V’s roster has gotten a little bit bigger once again as Capcom has revealed newcomer Zeku. Set to release on October 24th, Zeku makes up the final character in Street Fighter V’s second season of characters which included Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail and Menat.
While Zeku might be a newcomer in Street Fighter V, he has appeared in the Street Fighter series previously. A Master of the Bushinryu Ninjutsu style, Zeku is the master of Final Fight’s Guy and appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 2 as a non-playable character.
With a variety of moves and techniques, Zeku looks like his fighting style is a combination of various attacks from both Ibuki and Guy. What’s really interesting about Zeku is his V-Skill which let’s him transform himself into a younger version of himself which has him wear a red scarf over his face turning him into what looks like Strider. not only that but his critical art looks almost similar to Strider’s Ragnarok from the Marvel vs Capcom series which is a nice bonus.
So far the character looks to be pretty fun to use with various mix ups for those who like to keep opponents guessing and blocking. Now to see if anyone will be picking the character up for this year’s Capcom Cup.
Street Fighter V is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
