TMZ has reported that the 72 year old WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, has been arrested and will be charged with involuntary manslaughter for the murder of his girlfriend, in an incident from 32 years ago.
Investigators believe that Snuka killed his then girlfriend Nancy Argentino, following an attack in a motel room back in 1983.
The Morning Call obtained the autopsy report and it stated that Argentino suffered multiple cuts and contusions on her entire body. The autopsy says Argentino died of traumatic brain injuries consistent with a moving head striking a stationary object.
Apparently investigators were tipped off about his involvement in the incident because of his own autobiography which was released in 2012.
According to TMZ, Snuka first told investigators in 1983 that Argentino injured her head while the two were “fooling around” outside of their motel room in Allentown, PA when he pushed her and she fell, striking her head.
The incident was changed in the autobiography in which Snuka had claimed that Nancy Argentino slipped on her own and hit her head while going to the bathroom at a rest stop.
Snuka was taken into custody and posted bail which was set at $100,000.
If he is found guilty, one has to wonder if he too will be wiped clean from the WWE history books like Chris Benoit and Hulk Hogan were.
