Max Zhang made quite an impression in Ip Man 3. He got his own spinoff which was also good, so he’s one of the Hong Kong performers I’ll always check out when he has a new movie.

Wolf Pack is more military gadgetry than martial arts, but it’s’ still big and fun. An elite team recruits a doctor for their missions. They have drones that look like mechanical flies and other heavy artillery.

Monstrosity (Jiang Lucia) becomes the coolest team member with the best moves, the best tools and a cool look with her cropped blonde hair.

So if you’re looking for an alternative to American blockbusters that film everything against green or LCD screens, Wolf Pack delivers international action in real locations. It’s worth at least a rental.
