Deadline is reporting that Winnie the Pooh is now on the list at disney to get a live-action remake. The studio has already hired filmmaker, Alex Ross Perry, who wrote and directed the Sundance film, Listen Up Philip with Jason Schwartzman and Elisabeth Moss.

The idea for this new Winnie the Pooh film is to focus on Christopher Robin as an adult who is summoned back to the Hundred Acre Wood to frolic with his animal pals: a honey-obsessed bear, a clinically depressed donkey, and a bumbling pig, among others.

There are no details yet on how Perry plans to visualize the Winnie the Pooh characters, but one imagines a heavy mix of CG. No release date has been announced
