It was 13 years ago we were first introduced to Fumito Ueda’s Shadow of the Colossus on the PlayStation 2 and that experience was something I will never forgot for it’s immersive gameplay.
While we got an HD release in 2011 along with ICO (another amazing game you need to play) on the PlayStation 3, next month will see a complete remake on the game on the PlayStation 4 which will include new textures and animations to give the game a much more beautiful look to it as well as 4K HDR support and will run at 60fps on the PlayStation 4 Pro in Performance mode.
Just recently Arekkz Gaming posted gameplay footage of the first 15 minutes of the game you can see here:
In the game you play as Wander, equipped initially with nothing but a sword and a bow at the start of the game he must take down the 16 giant colossi in order to resurrect a young woman. He must travel with his faithful companion Argo, as he travels around the “Forbidden Land” and find a way to take down each giant one by one.
Shadow of the Colossus will be available on February 6th.
