Ghostbusters remake director Paul Feig was recently a guest on AMC’s The Walking Dead after show, Talking Dead, and while Being asked questions about the recent episode he gave a little hint that the Walking dead is a source of inspiration for his upcoming film.
Speaking on AMC’s Talking Dead, Feig said”
“I will say, I was very inspired by this show. What I love is how they play with the danger, they play with the scariness, but also the idea that it’s always about gauntlet run. And that’s something, an element I want to bring to this Ghostbusters reboot is having to get through these various obstacles that are supernatural and all that. I really feed off of The Walking Dead.”
Given that the Walking Dead can still give those “oh crap!” Moments, it sounds like Feig wants his version of Ghostbusters to have a somewhat faster pace and intensity then the previous films. This also backs up Paul Feig’s previous comments about wanting the reboot to be scarier.
Ghostbusters opens in theaters on July 22, 2015
