At last year’s Game Awards, Obsidian Entertainment (known for developing the original Fallout games and Fallout: New Vegas) revealed their next title The Outer Worlds coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Today however, it was announced on Nintendo’s YouTube channel that the game would also be coming to Nintendo Switch. The Switch port will be handled by Virtuos, who also worked on the ports for L.A. Noire and Dark Souls Remastered.
While the trailer doesn’t show gameplay from the Switch version, Senior Producer Matthew Singh went on camera to talk more about the game itself, the importance of player choice, as well as the enthusiasm of having this game available on all platforms, including the handheld Nintendo Switch.
The Outer Worlds will be releasing on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC with the Nintendo Switch port coming later.
