The CW hasn’t even premiered their new television program “Arrow” yet and we’re already getting news about who else from the DC Universe will be making an appearance in Starling City. Following the news that Kelly Hu (“X2”) will be playing China White, the leader of a Southeast Asian drug cartel and John Barrowman (“Doctor Who” and “Torchwood”) will be playing a mysterious and wealthy gentleman who is familiar with the Queen Family, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Australian actress Jessica De Gouw will appear as Huntress.
De Gouw will appear in a multi-episode arc playing Helena Bertinelli, aka Huntress, the daughter of a mafia boss who is dead set on exacting revenge against those who killed her family. As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, this member of the Batman family is also a potential romantic interest for Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and a fellow vigilante who wants to destroy her father’s ring of organized crime. She is scheduled to first appear in the sixth episode of the season.
Producers told fans at Comic-Con in July that other DC characters would appear on the series, which stars Amell as the billionaire’s son who returns home after being presumed dead for nearly five years only to find his beloved city run by society’s worst. Having survived his ordeal on a deserted island, Arrow begins putting right the wrongs that corruption and greed have done to his city and his family.
I can’t help but wonder who else from Gotham City or Metropolis may show up.
