LIONSGATE MISSTEPS…Honestly, the trailer for this didn’t look all that promising. And audiences and critics apparently were not impressed by the actual film, judging from the awful Rotten Tomato score, and the abysmal 1st weekend box office.
Lionsgate’s R-rated reboot of “The Crow,” starring Bill Skarsgård as a murdered musician who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his fiancee, bombed with $4.6 million from 2,752 theaters to open in eighth place. The Crow got a certified very rotten 20 out of 100 on Rotten Tomatoes. And cost 50+ million dollars to make.
So unless the international box office kicks in hard. This franchise should have probably stayed dead.
