SUPERMAN & SPIDER-MAN WILL MEET… IN DC/MARVEL COMIC BOOKS

The first time Superman and Spider-Man met in the comics, was 50 years ago.

And now it’s about to happen again. From 1976 to 2026…

DC COMICS & MARVEL COMICS have announced plans to have two iconic superheroes unite once more, in two new one-shots: Spider-Man and Superman.

And both Marvel and DC will publish their own issue, with DC’s arriving in March and Marvel’s in April.

Spider-Man/Superman #1 arrives on April 15, 2026. The main story is written by Brad Meltzer and illustrated by Pepe Larraz, though there will also be a handful of other stories featuring more DC and Marvel crossovers. Miles Morales and Superman will interact in an entry by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli.

Spider-Man/Superman #1 will see Clark Kent and Peter Parker pitted against Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn/Green Goblin. The story will see the heroes’ “greatest villains exploit some of their greatest weaknesses.”

Spider-Man Noir and the Golden Age Superman will have a 1930s-set crossover in a story by Dan Slott and Marcos Martin, while Geoff Johns and Gary Frank have crafted a story that sees the Superman and Spider-Man families team up to face Mysterio. Jane Foster/Thor and Wonder Woman will fight symbiote hordes in a story by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman, and John Henry Irons/Steel and Hobgoblin will clash in a tale by Louise Simonson and Todd Nauck.

Marvel’s C.B. Cebulski had this to say, “Everyone here at Marvel is excited to be re-teaming with our friends at DC for another colossal crossover, this time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our two icons, Spider-Man and Superman, first teaming up! I can’t wait for fans of every generation to read these spectacular stories that our titanic talent are telling, featuring all-new, easily accessible stories about the ever-growing Spider-Man and Superman families meeting for the first time.”
