Some big news came out of a shareholders meeting in San Francisco Thursday.
Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that title of the first standalone film in the Star Wars franchise will be….
Rogue One.
Rogue One will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) and written by Chris Weitz (Cinderella). The film stars Felicity Jones and is being billed as the first “in a unique series of big-screen adventures that explores the characters and events beyond the core ‘Star Wars’ saga.” As of right now, the plot of the film is unknown but CBSNews says that the filming will start in London this summer and its release date will be Dec.16 2016.
