Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is avaliable now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Set less than a year after the events of the first movie, Sonic has settled into his peaceful life but he feels that there is a higher calling for him so he sets off to use his abilities to help people but things aren’t exactly working out. Especially as Robotnik finally escape the Murshroom planet and looks to get rid of the blue hedgehog once and for all, luckily for him he makes a new friend who is looking for Sonic for a different reason.
It’s a movie that’s a loveletter to the longtime fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, where the first film played off the original video game while incoroprating an original story the second film delves even deeper into the Sonic series taking characters, scenes and moments across multiple series and putting into a 122 minute adventure.
Before the release of film on Paramount Plus, I had the oppertunity to interview Jeff Fowler the director for both Sonic films and Colleen O’Shaughnessey who is best known to fans of the Sonic series as the voice of Miles ‘Tails’ Prower in the video games series and television series in recent years.
