It’s a big year for SNK and it’s only about to get bigger. Later this year SNK will release SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy and SNK 40th Anniversary Collection but that’s not all the company has planned.
The official SNK Japan Twitter page recently posted that SNK is currently working on a new hardware to in celebration of its 40th anniversary. It also reveals that it will be packed with fan favorite games that include The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug and more to be revealed later.

This isn’t the first time SNK has released any new hardware since the Nintendo AES and the Neo Geo Pocket. Back in 2012, SNK released the Neo Geo X which was manufactured by Tommo which was a handheld system that could be docked to play on your television that included 20 built-in games and five separate game cards that included three extra games each.
