Disney’s first non-Avengers Marvel property will be “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The lead role of Peter Quill/Star-lord is in contention between a sizeable group of actors. To date Joel Edgerton, Eddie Redmayne, Lee Pace, Jack Huston, Zachary Levi (“Thor 2,”) Sullivan Stapleton, Garrett Hedlund, James Marsden (Cyclops in the “X-Men” trilogy,) Jim Sturgess, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“The Dark Knight Rises”) have read for the part. Now word has it “Smallville” veteran Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) has auditioned for the role.
Rosenbaum let it be known that he tried out for the part of Star-Lord for the “Guardians of the Galaxy“ movie via his Twitter account.
