Pre-sale tickets for Solo: A Star Wars Story have been on sale for just over 24 hours and are already breaking records. Fandango has reported that Solo: A Star Wars Story is second to Avengers: Infinity War and has already outsold more tickets than Marvel’s Black Panther did within the first 24 hours of going on sale. Additionally, Solo is projected to make 160 million plus in its opening weekend. There were many naysayers on social media stating that Solo would fail to draw an audience due to the casting of a new actor in the iconic role of Han Solo, however, Star Wars fans have responded in “Force” by opening their wallets and making this recent Star Wars stand-alone film one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Our very own Luis Lecca went on record during the Nerd Report Podcast earlier this year stating that Solo: A Star Wars Story would be one of the biggest ticket sellers behind only Infinity War. Yes, the force is strong with him. On another note, this is the first Star Wars movie to return to the traditional Memorial Day weekend opening that fans are used to. It looks like Solo: A Star Wars Story is shaping up to be another successful Star Wars movie for Lucasfilm and Disney.

Solo: A Star Wars Story opens May 25th and is directed by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson. Tickets are on sale now!
