On Friday, November 18th, actor and ex-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger reported on his twitter account that he had been injured on the set of his latest film “Last Stand.” Schwarzenegger didn’t report the nature or cause of his injury, but in a camera phone image, it is clear he received a gash to the upper middle part of his forehead. This is what he tweeted:
“Got a little banged up on set today. Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!”
Could a dumbbell used by his ex-wife have caused this injury? Did his old Maid come to the set for a visit and did things get a little too physical? Or, did he just gracefully walk into the floor?
“Last Stand” concerns an ageing small-town sheriff (Schwarzenegger) who finds himself and his inexperienced staff as the only thing standing in-between a fugitive cartel leader and the Mexican border.
“Last Stand” is currently in production in New Mexico, and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jaimie Alexander, Rodrigo Santoro, Peter Stormare, Eduardo Noriega, Zach Gilford, Luis Guzmán, and Forest Whitaker. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Lionsgate has worldwide distribution rights on the picture. Andrew Knauer wrote the original spec script, which was subsequently rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and more recently by George Nolfi. South Korean cult favorite Kim Jee-Woon (“I Saw the Devil”) directs. The film is due to hit theatres on January 18th, 2013.
