Just a few weeks ago, we reported the news that Rob Zombie’s upcoming horror film, 31, had received an NC-17 rating for the second time. Now a new report has the film finally receiving an R rating.
Bloody Disgusting has reported that “enough alterations were made for the rating board to issue a more theater-safe R.”
The previous time the film went to the MPAA, Rob Zombie posted on his Facebook that the MPAA gave the film an NC-17 rating for the second time. The NC-17 rating was for “sadistic graphic horror, bizarre sexuality/nudity, pervasive disturbing images, and some strong language.”
Rob Zombie has yet to posting anything about the reported new rating.
31 is set to release Jan.26.
