Sony previews what subscribers can get in October.
Today Sony announced their free game additions to PlayStation Plus in October. Last month PS Plus gave subscribers ICO for free, October will see the second part of that double header with the addition of Shadow of the Colossus to the instant games collection. Along with that, the PS3 side will see Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. With a tale crafted by NY Times best-selling author R.A. Salvatore, stunning visuals from Todd McFarlane, and a customizable combat system, Reckoning has a lot to offer RPG fans. The mix-and-match combat means fans of brutal combat and fantasy RPGs can get their magic fix while also smashing things in the face with a hammer, or stabbing them with a sword and other various pointy weapons.
Not to be outdone Telltale Games Poker Night 2 will also be available for PS Plus. It isn’t like your typical casino simulator, here players get GLaDOS as the dealer and opponents like Claptrap from Borderlands and Ash from Army of Darkness which should make for an amusing time with friends.
PS Vita owners aren’t forgotten as the handheld will get the critically acclaimed Hotline Miami and Sine Mora added to its corner of the instant games collection. Hotline Miami is an action packed game set in 1989 Miami and over flowing with brutality. Sine Mora is a horizontal shooter where time plays the major factor.
Even if you’re not ready to put GTA 5 down just yet, you can put these games in your download cue to enjoy whenever you need something new to play. No word yet on what will be leaving the instant games collection in October, we’ll update as soon as it’s announced.
