After a long, and very magical run in Hollywood’s Pantages theater, Harry Potter will cast his last spell on June 22nd. So if you wanna take this worthwhile trip to Hogwarts, wands up and make it happen.
I have seen the show twice now. Once when it opened in February, and the second time about a week ago. And I have to say. that while I did enjoy it the first time I saw it, I enjoyed it even more the second time. Because seeing it a second time, when you already know the story, allows you to sit back and relax and take in all the magical details and nuances that you missed the first go-round. And I found myself more emotionally affected the second time I saw it.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is a play that takes place 19 years after the events of the final Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The play focuses on Harry Potter’s son, Albus, as he struggles with his legacy and navigates his first years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Albus befriends Scorpius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy’s son, and their friendship leads them down a path of time travel, which they attempt to use to alter the past. This decision has unforeseen consequences, forcing them to confront not only the past but also a new and potentially dangerous future.”
And just to add context, I paid for my ticket both times. I did not receive a press comp. I’m just a fan. Which is why I’ll give you this slightly spoilery advice… watch ‘The Goblet Of Fire’ film with your kids before you go, if you take them. You’ll be glad you did.
That being said, I know that theater tickets aren’t cheap. But now that the show is in its final weeks, there are Ticket deals to be had. Just check out the link below….
