After three very long years of waiting, One-Punch Man season 2 has finally been officially announced and is scheduled to premiere in April 2019.
The series follows Saitama, a man who has become the strongest being in existence after a daily training regimen of 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, a 10 km run, eating right, and not using the air conditioner or heater to reinforce his mental fortitude. This caused all his hair to fall out but has given him insane strength, speed and stamina even thought too many he is considered weak and is given the hero nickname Caped Baldy.
One-Punch Man started it’s life as a webcomic in 2009 by ONE, it would go on to gain massive popularity, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012. Not long after it would be released as a digital manga remake of the series, illustrated by Yusuke Murata followed by receiving an anime adaption which first aired back in October 2015.
A few days before the official announcement, the key visual for season 2 was revealed featuring Saitama, Genos, and a new villain Garou who has a fascination with monsters and is a former disciple of Bang.

“The great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou makes his appearance.”
