It’s a scream and a crying shame, but actor Gary Oldman doesn’t like his wardrobe for the next Batman installment. Reprising his role as Police Commissioner Gordon, Oldman claims his film attire is drab and boring. What do you expect for a character in a supporting role? Does he want to wear tights or a feather boa? I hope he doesn’t want to play the part of Robin “The Boy Wonder.” Here is what Oldman had to say to The Daily Mirror.
“That costume is dreadful. My drab greys and beiges.”
He continued: “I just went to the production office the other day and all I have there is a rack of very dull clothes. I mean – give the guy some life!”
But Gary admits he will enjoy shooting the film, despite the dull suits.
He added: “But I am looking forward to working with the gang again… the Academy Award-winning Christian Bale. I guess he’s not going to get my coffee anymore is he?”
The film is also reported to be shooting under pseudo-titles. It is in the same spirit and tactic as “Return of the Jedi” when it shot under the fictitious title “Blue Harvest” in order to keep ravenous fans and onlookers from invading the set. Rumor has it “The Dark Knight Rising” alternative titles will be “Magnus Rex” and “Fox Hills Green.”
“The Dark Knight Rises” will be released on July 20th, 2012. The film will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Christopher and Jonathan Nolan wrote the screenplay, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan directs.
