The Kurt Cobain documentary “Montage of Heck,” co-produced by Kurt’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival Jan. 24. Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic attended the premiere and the after party held at the Social House. Novoselic described the film in one word…

“Terrific.”

Billboard mentioned that director Brett Morgen thought that the biggest surprises the film will deliver for Nirvana fans are Cobain’s acoustic cover of the Beatles’ “And I Love Her” and about a half-hour of Cobain recordings, both singing and speaking.

“Montage of Heck” will air on HBO May 4 and will include never-before-seen home movies, recordings, artwork, photography, journals, demos, personal archives and songbooks. It will also include some Nirvana songs and performances, as well as some unreleased Cobain originals.
