Nintendo Teams With Twitch Prime To Push Online Service

From the day it was first unveiled, Nintendo Switch Online has faced a tremendous amount of backlash from fans concerning the service. Whether it be the price-point, or the service itself just not being a service at all, fans have just not been that happy with it. So Nintendo wants to take action to solve that.

One of the only big games to pull people towards buying into the service seems to be Smash Bros. Ultimate. and many people probably coupled their purchase of Smash for Christmas with a 3 month membership of the Nintendo Switch Online for Online Play. Well, Those 3 months are up and Nintendo is left with a massive gap in Online Subscribers.

Enter Twitch Prime.

Starting today, Nintendo will be offering tiers of online service to subscribers of Twitch Prime. This will gain you access to all perks of Twitch Prime, and Nintendo Switch Online. This includes NES games, and online play, and special offers.

This will hopefully strengthen the numbers of Online Service subscribers for Nintendo, while also making the service more reasonable of a purchase for fans.
