It looks like the promotion for Assassins Creed is coming in full force now as we have our first glimpse of stills from the film itself. The images show Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, a man forced to relive the exploits of his ancestor via a VR machine called the Animus in the hopes of tracking down a lost valuable item. But Fassbender also plays his ancestor in the film, a 15th century Spanish swordsman named Aguilar.
The films stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael K. Williams. Assassin’s Creed opens in theaters on December 21, 2016.
