MICHELLE YEOH’S NEW STAR TREK FILM BEGINS PRODUTION
1 min readPARAMOUNT+: “Star Trek – Section 31” is the new Trek streaming movie, which is now officially in production. In the new film, Academy award winner Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, a character who she initially played in the first season of Star Trek: Discovery.
The synopsis for the film reads, “Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, [Georgiou] also must face the sins of her past.”
“And we’re off to the races! Thrilled to report principal photography has started on ‘Star Trek: Section 31’,” executive producer Alex Kurtzman. “We welcome our incredible cast of new characters as they join our beloved Michelle Yeoh on her next wild adventure across the ‘Trek’ universe.
