E3-Electronic-ArtsElectronic Arts made a huge announcement today, as they revealed that it would not be apart of this years E3 show floor. Instead of spending hundred of thousands of dollars, and what has been the largest booth on the show floor which is only open to industry, buyers and press it will instead hold a fan oriented event nearby called EA Play.

EA Play will be a three-day event, being held at the Club Nokia @ LA Live, which is just a short walk away from the Los Angeles Convention Center and a companion event will also be held in London. The event will open to the public but will require tickets will be required for entry, EA confirmed to Polygon that, “we are not charging a fee to attend.”

The event will run from June 12th to the 14th, beginning with a live press conference. Fans who attend will get a chance to experience hands-on game demos, live events, competition, special guest appearances, exclusive memorabilia and more.
