This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Mega Man series and Capcom has plenty of things coming this year. Back in December, Capcom announced that it will be releasing the Mega Man Legacy Collection on the Nintendo Switch later this month, the Mega Man X Collection on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in July and last but not least it revealed that it will be releasing Mega Man 11 sometime in 2018.

And today we found out, that’s not all Capcom has in store for Mega Man fans….

Capcom is teaming with iam8bit once again to release Limited edition Classic Cartridges for Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X.

The Mega Man 2 NES Cartridge will come in Opaque Light Blue (7,500 total); and Translucent, Glow-in-the-Dark Blue (1K total). You can pre-order it here.

The Mega Man X SNES Cartridge will come in Opaque White (7,500 total); and Translucent, Glow-in-the-Dark Blue (1K total). You can pre-order it here.

Last year, Capcom and iam8bit released a $100 Limited Edition Street Fighter 2 SNES cart for the game’s 30th anniversary which was limited to 5,500 copies and sold out rather quickly. It’s cool for fans but personally I would have loved to seen Capcom and iam8bit release  Mega Man 7 and Mega Man X3 instead.
