With the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story roughly seven months away, fans are eagerly awaiting any news or photos on the upcoming film. The trailer gave us a taste but of course we want more. Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royal, & Clash of the Titans) may have accidentally revealed a little too much when asked about his role on the film during his interview on Sky News. He first started out by saying he couldn’t say anything but, then went on to say this about his connection to Felicity Jones’ character, Jyn Erso:
“I read the script and it was very beautiful, and Felicity is playing this lovely, strong woman and I play her father,” he said, before adding, “And that was too much. I’m sorry.”
He was also asked about his “unnamed” character in the upcoming film, Dr Strange (set to release on November 4, 2016) and had this to say:
“I believe I’m allowed to say that I play an opponent,” he said. “Not really a baddie, but someone who believes in something else that Doctor Strange believes in.”
