We found out a while ago that J.J. Abrams was going to attend this year’s Star Wars Celebration which brought speculation that a second trailer for The Force Awakens was going to premiere at the convention, but now fans might have something else to get excited about.

Now we know that Directors Josh Trank (Chronicle) and Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) are also coming to the event. Both directors are set to direct their own Star Wars spinoff. This could be exciting since Disney can take the time to show their title for Josh Trank’s spinoff. Another reason that fans should be excited is because Edward‘s spinoff, Star Wars: Rogue One, will be the film following episode 7 and all we know now is that Felicity Jones is set for a lead role, Alexandre Desplat will score the film, and Chris Weltz will be writing the script, but we still don’t know the plot to the film.

Here are the details via the official Star Wars site:

“Kathleen Kennedy, Kiri Hart and Pablo Hidalgo will be joined by directors Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank, who will share their experiences as the newest members of the Lucasfilm creative family. Learn how the teams came together and are collaborating to conceive and create the upcoming stand-alone films in the galaxy far, far away.”

Star Wars Celebration runs from April 16th-19th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
