Leatherface Blu-ray

The Movie

In Texas, years before the events of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriff’s daughter dead. My Thoughts

I give the Leatherface Blu-ray a B.

I love films like this even the cheesy ones.  Its the type of movie where you turn off all the lights with some popcorn relaxing on the couch in your PJ’s.  I love the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and this movie takes it back to where it all begins.

The one thing I absolutely love about this film is the opening.  It’s Jed’s birthday party where he receives the infamous chainsaw as a present from his Mom.  The young boy is somewhat forced to use the chainsaw on a man but is unable to complete the task and runs away.  I would have been mortified in that situation and couldn’t imagine what the young boy was going through even though he probably has been around it since birth.  Lili Taylor (Mrs. Sawyer) plays her character well.  I have always loved her in any role she has been in and this one is no different.  I love how ruthless her character is and how she can just bang someone’s face against the wall or desk with no regrets.

Don’t miss out! Catch Leatherface out on Blu-ray & Digital HD on December 19th!
