Jason Wingreen, who voiced Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back, has died at the age of 95.
Wingreen died at his home on Christmas, his son confirmed.
The actor had numerous credits (about 200) to his name starting from 1955 to 1994. His credits included: General Hospital, Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Star Trek, All in the Family and Seinfield, just to name a few.
When it came to The Empire Strikes Back, Wingreen actually audition for the voice of Yoda. That role ultimately went to Frank Oz, but Wingreen was given four lines of dialogue as the mysterious bounty hunter Boba Fett. Wingreen was not given recognition or credit for his work as Boba Fett until 2000. He did not receive any residuals for the role, not even from the toys, which his voice was featured on.
He was survived by his son, Ned, two grandchildren and his sister Harriet.
