Thoughts

This film was AMAZING!   Unfortunately, this is the first film out of the 3 that I have seen.  I will definItely put the other two on my “must watch” list.   I had only seen Donnie Yen in one other role prior to this one.  It was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2 .  I loved his character in that film, as well as this one.  And you can’t forget his epic scene in the Rogue One : A Star Wars Story teaser trailer.   IP MAN 3 definitely had the old school kung-fu movie feel.  The score was amazing.  It added to the suspense and also added emotion to the scenes.  I even loved the sappy-love story moments which were filmed beautifully.  This film drew me in from beginning to end.  The fight scenes were EPIC.  At the beginning of the film, I was kind of disappointed because Mike Tyson was only in it for maybe 2 minutes.  I was wrong!  I don’t want to give too much away about IP Man vs Frank (Mike Tyson).  After that fight scene, I actually thought the movie was over (or coming to an end) but there was still alot to the story. See for yourself!  I definitely recommend this film.  You don’t need to see the other 2 films to understand what’s going on in this one.   I give it an A+!  Catch IP MAN 3 on blu-ray/DVD on April 19th.
