According to Market Saw, which has had a pretty good track record of reporting rumors that turn out to be true, it appears as if Sam Raimi has found his villain for "Spider-Man 4."

According to their sources, they have decided the next villain will be The Lizard / Dr. Curt Connors (Dylan Baker).  Dr. Curt Connors is Peter Parker's one armed professor who invents a serum that allows his limbs to grow back, but has the unfortunate side effect of turning him in a human sized, rampaging lizard.

This is great news since "Spider-Man 3" seemed to suffer from the use of one too many bad guys.  Going back to a winning formula, like the one that worked in the first two films sounds like a great idea.

Parker will either kill the Lizard or force an antidote down his throat. The Lizard has raw brute strength. He is quite intelligent, but I wouldn't rule out this being a solo villain gig. Kraven or the Vulture would be cool allies for the Lizard.

Don't count on one villian - Lizard is not the solo villian
Lizard is set to appear and will be the main villian for the fourth film, But it's widly know that Kraven will also appear in the fourth with an expanded role in the fifth movie. Inside sources say Oded Fehr is the top choice of Raimi to play Kraven and that it's all but a done deal (some say he has already been signed)
