RADICAL WILL BE IN THEATRES NOVEMBER 3, 2023

Earlier this month, Participant, the leading media company dedicated to entertainment that stands at the intersection of art and activism, announced a partnership with TelevisaUnivision’s Pantelion Films and 3PAS Studios on Radical.

The film, inspired by a Wired Magazine article by Joshua Davis, follows the 6th grade students at Jose Urbina Lopez Elementary in Matamoros, who are among the worst performing students in Mexico. The world they know is one of violence and hardship, and their school is a place of discipline, not possibility. Everything changes when teacher Sergio Juarez (Eugenio Derbez) arrives with an outside the box approach.

RADICAL SYNOPSIS:
In a Mexican border town plagued by neglect, corruption, and violence, a frustrated teacher (Eugenio Derbez) tries a radical new method to break through his students’ apathy and unlock their curiosity, their potential … and maybe even their genius. Based on a true story.
