George Lucas “Not really” Interested in STAR WARS 7 Trailer or Movies!

Star-Wars-The-Force-Awakens

Once upon a time Star Wars creator George Lucas was considered a god among directors and storytellers.  Fast forward forty years and not only has Lucas sold off the Star Wars franchise many fans don’t want him near a directors chair or any film for that matter.  Many feel the big problem was a disconnect between Lucas and his fans, what people expected from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films and what they got may have been different. The Star Wars Special Editions and Prequels set up such a backlash that may had forced Lucas to announce retirement from all things “movies” back in 2012.

Today the “disconnect” became apparent again.

Since the new trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released it’s been viewed over 72 million views and is approaching a record.  Yet the creator, George Lucas, was asked by Page Six if he’s seen the 88 seconds trailer and here’s what he said.

“I don’t know anything about it. I haven’t seen it yet … Because it’s not in the movie theater. I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there. I plan to see it when it’s released.”

Then he was asked if he was curious to see what Abrams new Star Wars movie and he said:

“Not really.”

Does that mean this video is a fake? – Shocking!

Personally I’m not happy with the Prequel trilogy. I felt that it took away much of the magic the originals established.  Yet to me George Lucas will always be a legend.  HE created Star Wars and that’s the main reason I love movies. Nothing will change that!
