The wait is almost over. After what felt like forever, the epic conclusion for Game of Thrones is almost here. Season 8 will gives what has been building up for 7 seasons prior. The Great War, as Jon Snow calls it, brings us the Night King and his army of White Walkers breaking the Great Wall and heading to Winterfell. With several families lost to war and new alliances forming, Season 8 has every fan holding their breath hoping their favorite survives. When the dust settles, who will be sitting on the Iron Throne?
With several teases in the past few months, HBO has finally released the first official trailer for Season 8 of Game of Thrones. Few details have emerged other than Daenerys and Jon Snow arriving at Winterfell with the Unsullied army. A few shots of several main characters such as Cersei Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, and Sansa Stark. Arya Stark is shown fleeing in fear and also fighting an unknown enemy. Jamie Lannister is seen in Winterfell pledging to keep his promise to fight alongside Jon Snow. And as the music stops, the fight for Winterfell begins as an undead horse takes its first step.
