It wasn’t even a week ago we learned that the Legendary super Sayian Broly is making his return in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super movie. In Japan, the movie is set for a theatrical screening December and luckily fans in North America and Canada won’t have to wait very long as Funimation revealed today that Dragon Ball Super: Broly will be released in theaters in January 2019.
This is the 20th film in the Dragon Ball franchise and following Dragon Ball Z: Revival of “F” which was released back in 2015.
The movie will take place shortly after the events of the Tournament of Power and will delve into the origins of Saiyans and the super-villain Frieza.
We can expect to learn more about the movie next week at San Diego Comic-Con as Funimation will be a sponsor of the Dragon Ball North America Tour in 2018, which includes a panel to be held in Hall H.
