The first trailer has debuted for the upcoming drama “The Good Lie” starring Academy Award® winning actress Reese Witherspoon. The story follows a Sudanese refugee who is taken in by a straight-talking American woman in their new home in the United States. Check it out!

They were known simply as “The Lost Boys.” Orphaned by the brutal Civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety. Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America. In “The Good Lie,” Philippe Falardeau (writer and director of the Oscar®- nominated Foreign Language film “Monsieur Lazhar”) brings the story of their survival and triumph to life.

“The Good Lie” will open in theaters on October 3rd. The film stars Reese Witherspoon, Corey Stoll, Sarah Baker, Thad Luckinbill, Mike Pniewski, Maria Howell, Sharon Conley, Joshua Mikel, Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal, Nyakuoth Weil, Jeff Matthew Glover, Kaitlyn Ervin, Nancy DeMars, Parisa Johnston, Vince Pisani, McCarrie McCausland, Victor McCay, Travis Smith, Ravi Naidu, Sahlima, Kenny Alfonso, Clifton Guterman and Cara Mantella. Margaret Nagle wrote the screenplay, while Brian Grazer, Molly Smith, Genevieve Hofmeyr, Ron Howard and Karen Kehela are producing. Philippe Falardeau directs.
