Summer Game Fest had a very nice surprise in store for Final Fantasy fans as it revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The 3-minute trailer gives us our look at the world outside of Midgard as Cloud and Company face the unknown, players familiar with the story of Final Fantasy VII are in for a ride as events from the original game have changed. The trailer shows off familiar locations, Yuffie with Cloud, and even a new mechanic which adds combination attacks between two characters.
While no exact date was announced, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release early 2024 for the PlayStation 5.
