Great news via our friends over at Marvel.  The ABC TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has just added Latino icon and legend Edward James Olmos.

Olmos is set to play a mysterious character names Robert Gonzales who’s really going to rock Coulson’s world in a bad way we assume.

“Edward James Olmos brings an amazing gravitas to any role he inhabits, something we knew we needed for Robert Gonzales,” said Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “When Olmos first appears on our series, everyone will have to take notice–including our favorite Agents.”

Olmos is best known by geeks and nerds for his roles in Battlestar Galactica, Blade Runner, and Miami Vice. He won and Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for Stand and Deliver so he’s bringing quality to the show that has been getting better and better as time has gone on.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns on Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC. For more information on the series and the other exciting Marvel Television projects, stay tuned to
