Universal Studios built their pantheon of monsters based on literary classics or popular legends and myths. Returning to the source material, the new horror film “Dracula Untold” will look behind writer Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” and reveal the origin of the infamous Prince Vlad Tepes, who was posthumously dubbed ‘Vlad the Impaler’ for the way he impaled his enemies. His reputation for excessive cruelty spread abroad across the whole of Europe. Now, Universal’s upcoming film will follow the man who became Dracula (Luke Evans.)
