Disney at one point had a large gaming division, set up to create games revolving around their own properties. This division was known as Disney Interactive. DI was more well known for creating the Toys-to-life Disney Infinity game. However, just a few years ago, Disney pulled out of the gaming industry in proprietary means and sold off the studio. Meaning all Disney games afterwards have been outsourced.

This all might be changing very soon however, as Disney is reportedly purchasing Nexon, A giant PC and mobile game company based out of Korea. Nexon is best known for it’s work on the popular online game series, MapleStory.
