DC STUDIOS: whoever wins the role of Supergirl will first appear in “Superman: Legacy” before starring in the upcoming film “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”.

And According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hunt for the big screen’s next Supergirl is a step closer, with Milly Alcock and Meg Donnelly both having screen tested yesterday.

The script for the new film, “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is being written by Ana Nogueira, which is inspired by the Tom King run of comics of the same name. Back in January 2023, James Gunn said in a video announcement, “Superman is a guy sent to Earth and raised by loving parents, where Supergirl in this story, she is a character raised on a chunk of Krypton. She watched everybody around her perish in some terrible way, so she’s a much more jaded character.”
