A log line has appeared on many movie tracking boards revealing the plot for Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy” feature film. Not to be denied, Nuke the Fridge has stumbled upon this tasty tidbit. Unfortunately, the plot sounds vaguely reminiscent of a film that came out last summer, which concerned a super hero who wears a green ring and flies around the universe.
Here’s the all too brief storyline:
“About a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”
This leaves a lot to the imagination on who the villain might be, and what the something is that everyone wants. Also, how will this tie into “The Avengers 2” film?

“Guardians of the Galaxy” will be released sometime in the summer of 2014. Writer Chris McCoy has been hired to pen the latest incarnation of the script about the galactic super hero team, which is based on the Marvel Comic by the same name originally created by Gene Colan, Arnold Drake, and Dan Abnett.
