What’s the best way to celebrate Warner Bros. and director Christopher Nolan’s “Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” release? By attending a special “Batman” movie marathon before watching the debut of the new “The Dark Knight Rises” film. That’s right, AMC Theaters announced this week that they will be holding a marathon to celebrate the release of “The Dark Knight Rises” on July 19th.
Tickets for this blockbuster will go on sale on Monday, June 11th, at 9:00 a.m. Not a lot of details available at this time, but for more information, check out AMC’s Batman site. The event will no doubt kick off with Nolan’s “Batman Begins,” followed by “The Dark Knight,” and then culminating with the premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises.” It sounds like a test of one’s endurance, but watching the first two films immediately before the new installment may payoff in the long run as a refresher for any background information.
Here is the basic synopsis for “The Dark Knight Rises” film:
Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two-Face’s crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.
“Speaking of which, do you know how I got these scars?”
See you in line!
