BACK TO THE FUTURE Star Interested in Throwing First Pitch if Cubs Make the World Series

It has been over 100 years since the Cubs last won the World Series but in Back to the Future 2, you may remember that when Marty went into the future, the Cubs swept Miami in the 2015 World Series. Though Miami wasn’t a team that was around back when the movie was made, it is a team now but it’s impossible for the two teams to meet in the World Series due to being both National League teams. When it comes to the Cubs, they are eight wins away to turning Back to the Future 2 into a prophecy. When talking to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Christopher Lloyd who played Doc Brown in the film, expressed interest in throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in the World Series if the Cubs happen to make it there.

“I didn’t even remember about the Cubs until someone brought it up a few days ago,” Lloyd says. Lloyd then mentioned that it would be fun to throw out the first pitch,“Maybe it’ll happen. We’ll see,” he says. “They (have) got to get there first.”
