Hollywood has a way of trying to adapt popular franchises to work on the big screen, while this doesn’t always work the way they think it will you can’t fault them for trying…..right?

When you think of all the different forms of entertainment that would work as a feature film, I don’t think Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution would be one of them. According to Variety, Greg Silverman’s new company Stampede will be developing the movie and partner with producers J. Todd Harris and Marc Marcum of Branded Entertainment along with Konami who of course owns the rights to the franchise.

The project will explore a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance…because what else would make sense other than saving the world by getting a grade of AA on Butterfly by Smile.dk or personally I’d give it a shot with Dream a Dream or Captain Jack.

Of course, this wasn’t the only movie announced either as Capcom also announced it was making a MEGA MAN live-action movie with 20th Century Fox.
